Technology is the theme.

I'm in a techie mood today so I'm sharing somethings that have caught my attention over the past view weeks. So that's today's/this week's theme so hopefully you will find some information you can use. Happy Thursday ya'll!

New Gaming Trends for iPhone & XBOX LIVE

iPhone Games: iPhone has a gaming application Topple. A mix between classic games Jenga and Tetris, Topple challenges gamers to stack and balance a family of mischievous and dimorphic shapes using multi-touch controls to slide and rotate them into position. You will also find us tilting our iPhones in intense concentration while playing another one of our favorite new applications, Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D, an adrenaline-pumping kart racing game that requires you to engage your inner speed racer as you navigate your way through various tracks and terrains, all the while battling countless opponents.

Xbox LIVE Community Games Channel: On November 19th, Xbox LIVE will launch its highly anticipated new forum for indie gamers, Community Games Channel. Allowing independent developers and DIY game designers alike to take their Xbox 360 creations public within a community space, the platform is similar to what YouTube is for filmmakers or MySpace is for musicians. Already gaining significant buzz in the gaming industry for its innovative content and seemingly endless potential, we have heard a lot of chatter surrounding UK puzzle game, Word Soup. Currently available (and quickly gaining a cult following) at pubs in the UK, the addictive and simplistic single or multiplayer word hunt game will be making its debut outside of UK pubs on the Community Games Channel

Favtape: Create and play an instant mixtape of songs

Favtape: Favtape is the latest in a line of successors to the now defunct Muxtape. The best part about Favtape is you don't need to actually have the song files - Favtape lets uses pull tracks from anywhere on the web, including those bookmarked on your Pandora or Last.fm accounts. Users can even select songs from premade playlists ranging from the iTunes Top 100 to the top songs from a specific year. And as an added bonus, Favtape is supported on the iPhone so you can take your favorite mixes with you on the go.

Now Play It: Video Music Tutorials

Ever heard a song and wished you could pick up a guitar and play it yourself? Well, log on to Now Play It and you can learn! This interactive music website has over 300 video tutorials of current songs, some of which feature the artists themselves explaining how they make hits happen. It's fun to watch acts like Akala, KT Tunstall or some of the guys from The Bravery show you how to play some of their best numbers

Eko-Lab

Eko-Lab

This eco-friendly collaborative label includes six designers whose designs are grounded in sustainability and community. Utilizing organic fibers, such as hemp, cotton and linen, and natural dyes, the Eko-Lab designers create a variety of sculptural looks by using the fabric like paper, folding and gathering, cutting and twisting, braiding and crocheting to make items that stray pretty far from what most think of as green garments. Their focus on community has sprouted an in-the-works project which will soon offer access to a NY-based fair-made facility where interested creatives can come to learn about crafting, dying, and screen printing.
